As the fourth generation of lighting technology, LED lighting play a pivotal role with itshigh efficiency, low power consumption, long life, less pollution, safety and reliability in theincreasingly serious energy shortage and environmental degradation. The design of highpower LED lighting system is still faced with various problems.The emergent light of LED lighting product is uneven and the drive power has short lifein nowadays. This paper is aimed at these two technical difficulties and study on the secondoptical design and drive power supply design of high-power LED to seek an effective way toresolve these two technical difficulties, verify the feasibility of LED lighting and help thepromotion and application of LED lighting products.In this paper, we can see the background and significance of high power LED lightingsystem. It reviewed the development of high power LED lighting and the drive power,prospected the future trends and introduced the light-emitting principle, electrical, optical andthermal characteristics of LED briefly.On this basis, we designed a cylindrical spot of uniform illumination system, accordingto the radiation characteristics of the LED light source and the illuminance distributionrequirements of target illumination surface. Its light energy utilization rate achieves92.17%and the illumination uniformity achieves0.9545, which are far higher than the nationalstandard.Then we designed a LED drive power based on the L6561chip and OB2269chip, whichis aimed at the demand for high power LED lighting driver. This drive power used two drivestructures. The former rank is active power factor correction circuit which is work in criticaldiscontinuous mode and the following rank is a single-ended flyback converter. Finally, weproduced a wide range of input voltage100~240V, output a108W lighting LED switchingpower supply with36V/3A based on the design above and then verify the feasibility of thedesign of lighting systems and drive power through the experimental tests.
