As universities from South China concentrated, there are more than50colleges anduniversities gathered in Guangzhou. With the enrollment expanse of postgraduates, collegesand universities are faced with many problems,such as,the existing university is narrow, can’tmeet the requirements of the enrollment, and so on. So constructing university town isimperative. In south China, Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center is base for high-leveltalents training and the leading level in the scientific research, which greatly promoted theeconomic, scientific, technological and cultural development of Guangzhou.In September2004, the ten colleges built in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Centerput into use. After seven years of development, Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Centerhas become mature. There are advantages and disadvantages in Guangzhou Higher EducationMega Center. The commercial space of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center is closelyrelated to student life. So the study of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center to promotethe improvement of the future and development, and future business model of Chinauniversity of form is enlightening. This paper also studies the limit the scope of space andtime in the built-up guangzhou college town, the main consideration to not finished collegecity construction, not on the future state make more accurate projections.The thesis includes six chapters: the first chapter introduces the research background,research significance, research objects, domestic and foreign research results and researchmethods. The second chapter describes the business of Guangzhou University City generally,including three parts of contents: the city planning of Guangzhou University, the commerce ofGuangzhou Higher Education Mega Center and the formation of the university studentsconsumption characteristics. The third chapter explores the commercial space planningconception of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, separately from the commercialspace, classification, content and layout form carries on the analysis to study. The fourthchapter is the main part of this paper, The Study of Model of commercial space of GuangzhouHigher Education Mega Center(Built-up area), the first part discusses the commercial spacedistribution status of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center; the second part is theclassification of commercial space of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center(Built-up area)at this stage, and explore the various types of content composition and spatialcharacteristics; the third section fieldwork the usage of stage of commercial space patterns,mainly through field research, surveys and field interviews and other means, respectively,overall satisfaction from commercial facilities, commercial attractiveness and businessstrengths and weaknesses as well as recommendations and expectations of the three spaceaspects of the investigation; the fourth section is the study of the reason of the situation ofcommercial space of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center(Built-up area); the fifthsection is chapter summary on the whole, the status of Guangzhou Higher Education MegaCenter(Built-up area) are summarized. The fifth chapter is the optimization of commercialspace of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, in connection with the deficiencies anddefects of commercial space of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. The sixth chapter,planning principles of commercial space of modern University Town, through the researchabove.
