Switched reluctance drive(SRD) involves electrical motor theories, power electronics, microelectronics and control theory. Compared with the traditional AC/DC motor, the SR motor strong simple structure, low cost, high reliability and high efficiency, attracting more and more attention by its excellent performance.Entrusted by Weifang Kuang Yuan electric equipment limited company, this thesis is to develop a SRD control system, of which the company will have independent intellectual property rights. In this paper the switched reluctance control system is designed using AT89S52as its core processor and a3-phase-7.5kW-12/8poles switched reluctance motor as its controlled object. The system can realize the functions such as the basic start/stop, position signal capture, speed calculation and feedback, PWM modulation and the control modes selection by designing the software and hardware of the control system.Firstly this paper introduce the development and foreground of the switched reluctance motor briefly. Take the three phase12/8poles SRM as the object, analyze the operation principle of the SRM in detail, establish the mathematical model and analyze its linear processThen, the design of the hardware circuit for the control system is mainly presented, including power conversion circuit, drive circuit, detecting and feedback circuit for current, speed, and rotor position signal, fault alarm circuit and so on. Modular programming methods is used for the design of the software to realize the signal processing,commutation control, as well as the combinational control method. Finally present the general steps and basic principles of on-site commissioning, then the solutions of the typical fault encountered in the debugging process in the laboratory is given.
