The SGM curved-tooth bevel gear is the important transmission parts in Aerospace Machinery. Its performance has an effect on the steady operation of the complete machine. Especially its dynamic characteristics have direct impact on the working life, noise and the safety of the Aerospace Machinery complete machine. The time-varying mesh stiffness is the premise and foundation of the Gear system dynamics analysis, so it has a positive impact on the development and the improvement of the SGM curved-tooth bevel gear to study the time-varying mesh stiffness and the influence law of loads on the mechanical properties and the transmission performance of the gears.The accurate gear geometric model is made by Virtual machining and surface fitting in CATIA. LTCA of the geometric model is operated in ABAQUS, and then the influence law of loads on contact stress, gear root bending stress, transmission error curve, contact ratio is studied.Based on the LTCA of the SGM curved-tooth bevel gear, the discrete numeral values of the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness in a meshing cycle is work out. By the regression of tool box of MATLAB, the curve of the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness is fitted, and the mesh stifness and the pinion corner is regress based on the non-linear regression theory. It is confirmed that the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness change as Parabola in the meshing cycle.Through analysis contrast the change of the gear face and the values of the mesh stiffness when the ratio of roll is changing, the result shows that the ratio of roll revise in actual production has a little effect on the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness.Based on the rationale of the three-way Latin square design, in order to study the influence of the tooth-number of the pinion, the tooth-number of the gear, Transerse module on the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness, the three-way experiment is implemented partly. The test results data is researched to get the estimation method about the three design parameter and the single tooth time-varying mesh stiffness of the SGM curved-tooth bevel gear by the multiple nonlinear regression way.
