In our country, energy conservation, which refers to efforts made to reduceenergy consumption, is a long-term policy for the development of economy andsociety. Furthermore, the electric power conservation is the most important part andmajor strategic issue of the national tactic of energy conservation. Owing to the highcost and low efficiency of energy and the lack of scientific enterprise gridenergy-saving technologies,it is urgent for the energy-intensive manufacturingenterprise named Guangxi Yuchai to reduce the cost of electric power.Therefore, it isof special significance to start the research on the electric power conservation forenterprises, by which can raise the usage factor of the electric power and can improvethe quality of the power grid as well as the reliability of the power supply.Guangxi Yuchai is selected for investigation. Firstly, the demand of the electricpower conservation of enterprises is derived by analyzing four respects such as thepresent energy conservation situation,economic operation of transformers, variablefrequency energy conservation of motor and the energy conservation by usingfrequency variation and the electric power management and optimization. Then, someuseful solutions for realizing the synthesized electric power conservation of theenterprise grid are introduced.Secondly, the calculation of system parameters based on the actual site model todetermine the system requirements was introduced. PSCAD and PSIM were used tocalculate the two software transformer parameters and system parameters of theequivalent capacitor impedance, and establish the system simulation modelsaccording to the actual measurements of voltage, current, active power, reactivepower and other power quality parameters. The simulation data was compared to theactual measurements to prove the validity of the simulation models. Then, static varcompensator (SVC) was chose to resolve the excessive harmonics and reactive powershortage for the casting substation of Yuchai casting centre. And theory, parametersetting and control strategy of SVC were introduced. PSCAD simulation analysis wasgiven. To implement economic operation of transformer, the integrated power losswas taken as the basis of the economic operation, energy saving of transformer wasachieved by adjusting the load. Working principle and energy conservation principlewere considered to analyze the motor frequency energy and estimate the savingenergy to solve motor speed regulation. An Electrical energy conservation and management optimization system forGuangxi Yuchai is designed, which can complete the signals centralized monitoringsuch as the simulation capacity, switching capacity and the pulse signal volume ofpower plant and so on. Moreover, advanced intelligent optimization models are usedto achieve refined management. This system increases the level of safety and stabilityduring operation, reduces costs of operation and maintenance and improves social andeconomic benefits. Data collection and communication, electricity and energymonitoring system, power consumption rewards model, production planning,intelligent report generation, operation ticket generation and other important softwareare deeply analyzed and investigated in this paper.
