The development of building energy conservation and the revolution of the wall brings ahost of revolutionary opportunities to the wall materials. Set in the time, four kinds ofsandwich blocks were designed, and the experimental research on the thermal performance ofthe sandwich block was carried out. Meanwhile the numerical method was introduced in theresearch.Firstly the experimental research on heat transfer characteristics of four kinds of thesandwich blocks in the steady state was carried out via the hot-box method. Based on thedates, including temperature distribution of the block and heat flux size on typical locationacquired from the experiment, coefficient of heat transfer and the internal distribution of theblock was inferred, laying foundation for numerical simulation.Secondly, the numerical simulation on the static transfer of the four kinds of the blockwas carried out via the finite element software ANSYS. Through the selection of the element,modeling, defining the material, the application of the boundary condition, the temperaturedistributions and the heat flow density was acquired, and heat transfer coefficient for differentblock was presented.Finally, the simulation results and experimental results were compared, and thefeasibility and the reliability of the numerical simulation program were verified. The thermalperformance of four kinds of the sandwich straw block was analyzed in detailed, Get thethermal performance of the best block form, and the heat transfer mechanism was elaborated.This experiment was financially supported by the Shandong Province Science andTechnology Development Projects. The concrete sandwich straw blocks make up for thedisadvantages, taking advantage of the both strengths, with the utilization rate going up,construction period shortened. The blocks have substantial development prospects in the fieldof rural construction. The method utilized in the paper and the results acquired providebeneficial reference to the design and promotion of the building energy efficiency.
