High temperature grease is the key element to the normal operation of the high-temperature equipment. It’s performance has a direct relationship to the operation state of the high-temperature equipment. The life of the grease in bearing is an extremely important performance indicator to the high temperature grease and it is also the comprehensive property reflection of the high temperature grease. Grease industry has little research on the test technology of the life of the high temperature grease bearing in our country. At the same time, there is no mature self-developed test equipment. Therefore, the research of the life testing technology on the high temperature grease bearing has an important practical significance. The research contents of this paper include these aspects:(1) According to the research status and existed problems of the life testing technology to the high temperature grease bearing in domestic and foreign, the main research content of this paper is given.(2) By analyzing the failure mechanism of the high temperature grease in rolling bearing and the test methods of the life testing of the grease bearing, a more suitable experimental method to the life testing of the high temperature grease bearing is proposed.(3) The overall design of the test system is completed by analyzing the functional requirements of the life testing system of the high temperature grease bearing.(4) Several key technologies to the life testing rig design of the high temperature grease bearing is studied: loading device program and loading force control, analysis and calculation of the critical speed of the spindle, lubrication system design of the auxiliary bearings.(5) Construct of the measurement and control system has been analyzed and the real-time communication between the LabVIEW DSC module and the PLC is implemented based on the platform of the graphical program language LabVIEW and the OPC technology. The paper also designed the main work modules of the system software and carried out the related debugging.
