Coexistence with the rapid development of the economy, resource shortage and environmental pollution problems in nowadays world draw people’s more attention. As the important foundation industry of the national economy in China, electric power industry occupies the prominent position in the development of the national economy. It undertakes the responsibility of promoting stable economic development at the same time. In our electric power enterprises, the thermal power enterprises occupy a predominant position, thermal power generation amounts of the national total of nearly80%. As the energy consumer, thermal power enterprises consume a large number of fossil energy resources, meanwhile, they emission lots of waste materials and gas every year, resources and the environment caused by high pressure. In order to reduce the use of non-renewable resources and decrease environmental pollution, improve the properties of thermal power unit, promote energy conversion rate of thermal power plant, enhance the efficiency of thermal power plant in power industry of China being imperative.Premise Conditions of improve thermal power efficiency is evaluation the power plant efficiency accurate and effective. This article research on efficiency evaluation of electric power system. According to characteristics of efficiency analysis existes more than one index,the paper aimes at analyze the thermal power plant efficiency of a certain period of time comprehensive accurate and effective.Index selection including the production operation and management.Studying on analysis method of the presence of multiple power system efficiency index in the paper. This paper first reviews the research status and analysis method of domestic and foreign electric power system efficiency. Process of index selection has many limits. The influence factors include operation characteristics and management characteristics. Selecting the appropriate index combined with the actual situation.The article builds evaluation system and model which combine with the data envelopment analysis method and membership function,cloud model. Analysis on efficiency model contain quantifiable indicators and non-quantifiable indicators at the same time. An example is introduced to prove the validity of the method. At the end of the article,author summarizes the work and achievements,and proposes the content need to be study in the futuer.
