Cable terminal is the area of cable line where electric field of stress concentration is more concentrated and complex and have poor insulation. It often causes all kinds of accidents which have affected the stability of electric power system. Here proposing a unique solution, instead of stress pipes, we use cold stress cone to embedded into Heat shrinkable pipe as internal insulation structrue of cable termianl. To use heat shrinkable pipe as the auxiliary stress control measures. Outer screen of the cable terminal will be firstly covered with conductive/insulation composite cone, and then outside of cone will be covered with heat shrinkable tube. In this article we mainly talk about the design of conductive/insulation composite cone, the silicone rubber injection molding of conductive stress cone and the optimization of the mold. Using Finite element method to analyze and calculate electric filed of cable terminal, which provide the theoretical guidance for the definition of the conductive/insulation composite stress cone of injection molding process. We use ANSYS finite element analysis software to simulate all kinds of medium voltage cables terminal field, use UG software to do the mold design, and use moldflow to simulate.
