Radioactive source as a key content of civilian nuclear technology has been widely used in chemical, oil, paper, cement, metallurgy, medicine, agriculture and many other fields, the benefit of mankind, but also to human beings a hidden danger, that is the use and management of radioactive source. Radioactive source lost, stolen easily in the use and storage process. The ray of the radioactive source can produce radiation to human body and can not be feel by human, so once radioactive source lost, it is very likely to cause damage to people’s lives and health, if we can not find the lost radioactive source, the consequences will be very serious. This paper mainly introduces the hardware and software design of the stolen radioactive tracer system, and introduces the tracker unit design emphatically by myself. The stolen radioactive tracer system can position and track radioactive source accurately, it can alarm and trace radioactive source when radioactive source is from the normal regulation range, it mainly uses the internet of things technology that connect computer technology, GSM/GPS communication network technology and electronic label technology (RFID).Through on-line debugging results, it is proved that the design meets the needs that monitor and administration radioactive source.
