With the performance improvement of anti-submarine sonar on surface warship,submarine combat for stealthy attack and training is seriously threatened. The research onacoustic detection capability of typical surface warship anti-submarine is necessary.An effective method is to simulate the performance of anti-submarine sonar. Simulationfor sonar system is one of the hot research fields in sonar, and it is of great significance. Basedon a systematic and further analysis on the usage and performance of typical surface warshipsonar anti-submarine, we can propose countermeasures by researching its capability ofacoustic anti-submarine and by modeling and simulating of the anti-submarine sonar system.By comprehensive consideration of underwater acoustical environment, target characteristic,sonar system conditions and so on, simulation of sonar is a complex process. To improveFidelity of sonar performance simulation, a corresponding mathematical model is requiredand then simulated systematically.In this paper, typical surface warship anti-submarine sonar system is modeled andsimulated by programming environments of VC++6.0, together with its operating functionsand operational performance in different tactical situation, different under-water acousticenvironment and different movement. At last, combined with tactical assumptions, this paperverified simulation validity by analysis of the performance of anti-submarine sonar systemand the progress of under-water acoustic warfare, and analyzed the detection capability ofanti-submarine sonar on surface warship, then proposed appropriate countermeasures. |
