Since the20th century, the development of maritime power has been valued by more andmore countries. As the warfare form changes to the information form, unmanned weaponsgradually make a figure on the battlefield. Autonomous Underwter Vehicle (AUV), as themain carrier of marine combat platforms, is one of the tools which are used to explore andexploit the ocean. But along with the development of AUV technology, Multiple AutonomousUnderwater Vehicles (MAUVs) technology is being paid more and more attention.In this thesis, the combat mode and function of unmanned underwater combat platformsare discussed. This thesis presents the history of the development of underwater vehicle, thestatus of MAUVs, and the problems which MAUVs system has to solve. It aslo does anin-depth research on the cooperation and model of combat platforms of multiple underwaters.Firstly, we analyse the characteristics, application, and development of multiple UUVssystem. By analysing needs of modern naval warfare and foreign cooperative combat systems,a research target that we should develop cooperative engagement of multiple marine combatplatforms has been proposed.Secondly, we expand on MAUVs system, Cooperative Autonomy for DistributedReconnaissance and Exploration system and Cooperative Engagement Capability. Byresearching their form, application, function, taking example for their construction principles,we set up a hybrid structure of marine cooperative combat system, aiming at the technicalcharacteristics of unmanned marine combat platform. The thesis geives reason to form,application, functiong of the system, and proposes some interactive mode and communicationstrategies of the system.Thirdly, by using UUV as the representative of unmanned marine combat platforms,several operating modes that multiple marine combat platforms work together are proposedcombining with the characteristics of UUV, such as searching in specified region by formation;sailing for early warning around the fleet, the major ports and harbors; tactical combat toenemy submarines. And each operation mode is illustrated.Finally, this thesis expands on the pivotal technology of unmanned marine combatplatforms, including task modular technology, highly intenlligent technology, propulsion andenergy technology, navigation and positioning technology, deployment and recovery technology, multi-platform cooperation technology. At the same time several key problemsabout multi-platform cooperation technology are also illustrated.
