| Ship is a complicated naval architecture with varied structures. It navigates on the oceansand rivers, being charged with the task of transport, fighting, etc. Its structure, strength, andstability are concerned and researched because of special characters of work and complicatedworking environment.Recently, the market of ship is booming and advanced shipping products with shorterproduction cycles have become the main factors in the order competition among shipyards. Inorder to obtain the greatest economic benefits and promote the developing of the shipbuildingindustry, advanced shipbuilding production must be produced and innovation must be carriedout.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The developing of common rules of bulk carriers is introduced and the requirement,feature and the basic content of the common rules are completely stated.(2)The structure members of the cargo hold in the middle are optimized with softShipRight based on basic ship. The strength is calculated by general-purpose finiteelement software. The purpose of reducing the lightship weight is achieved by theoptimization of components’ size.(3)The areas of ship fore and aft are rearranged based on the basic ship. The frameworkform in the ship fore is changed. In order to induce the ship weight, a combinationframework form of longitudinal framing and horizontal framing is used in the shipaft.(4)The strength of optimized structure is verified by the soft PATRANï¼NASTRAN.The work is to establish the finite element model and verify the strength andbuckling. The feasible proposal is obtained by calculating and verifying. Itprovides reference and basis for future work. In the end of this paper, summaryand outlook of this paper are done. |
