In recent years, with the rapid development of the economic, technology and industriallevel of human, the requirements of the people on the development of the ship is headinglarge-scale, high-performance and high-tech. In this context, the development of thehigh-performance ship is getting into an unprecedented golden age. And partial air cushionsupport catamaran emerges as the time requires. It has been paid much attention, by virtue ofits unique ship, excellent stability, speed, sea keeping and economy, broad market prospects,highlighting dual-use and high-tech-intensive. In2002, the partial air cushion supportcatamaran research project was officially included in the5thFramework Program of theEuropean Union, and become one of major support project from the European Union.This paper starting with the basic research of the local hovercraft, studies theconstruction theory of local hovercraft and its properties and the theory of its’ performanceanalysis, verify its’ performance and performance analysis with the help of Fluent simulation,and demonstrates the practicality of the performance analysis thought the study of a certaintype of local air cushion.First, based on the unique structure and working principle of local hovercraft, we studiedthe approach to its’ building and discussed the performance index and constraint of the localhovercraft.Second, present the theoretical performance analysis method of local hovercraft, andanalyzed the excellent performance of the local hovercraft by the result of the calculation ofthe performance of local hovercraft and other ship forms after its’ performance assessmentwith the method.Third, using CFD technology, realized the simulation of pad-state of the local air cushionwith the help of moving grid theory, and simulated the rapid performance in pad state of localair cushion. What’s more, verified the performance and the theoretical performance analysismethod of local hovercraft which we suggest in this paper.Forth, in the context of basic research, taking the study of a certain tape oflocal air-cushion landing craft as example, combine the analysis method we suggest in thispaper, further probe of performance analysis of local hovercraft was taken. Anddemonstrated the advantages of its application in combat platform, to showcase the broad application prospects of the local hovercraft.
