As the characteristic of Soil-rock mixed high slope, it needs to not only consider the conventional governance of soil slope but also deeply analyze the properties and the occurrence structure of rock mass about the mixed slope of upper soil and rock in lower or anterior soil and rock at posterior.The contact interface of soil and rock often becomes to be unstable sliding surface,which has made the geological and geotechnical engineers puzzled over years. In recent years, as the extensive development of infrastructure construction in our country, the study of the stability of large mixed slope and its hazard predication and prevention system is imperative. However, it is less than perfect about the current design, construction codes and rules in these problems’ solution. Therefore, how to make the disaster caused by deformation and stability of soil-rock mixed high slope reduced minimally so that make the security and economy realized has become a challenge subject that should be deeply researched by our geotechnical engineering workers.In this paper, according to the peculiarity of the soil-rock mixed high slope of one project in Shantou Guangdong, the consequential analysis of its construction condition and observation process was combined, then the influence of deformation and stability of soil-rock mixed high slope such as geological condition of soil-rock mixed high slope, mechanical properties of soil and rock, failure mechanism of slope deformation, excavation method of slope and its support measure was discussed. Lastly, the treatment of the whole stability property of back slope mass was determined. Based on the result of deformation observation, the law of the deformation stability of the composite high slope with the development and changes of excavation construction and its influence properties of different physical factors were summed up.In order to further analyze the deformation properties of soil-rock mixed high slope during the construction process, the finite element software was used to carry out the numerical simulation analysis of its deformation stability. During the analysis process, the stability changes with the excavation unloading of slope mass in the construction process and the properties of the contact effect between the supports and the soil-rock were considered, which could better reflect the actual work situation of construction properties of slope supports. The calculation results are in good agreement with the experimental data, which can indicate that the model is effective and reliable. Finally, through the comparative analysis between the simulation calculation results and the measured data, the properties law that the influences of the deformation and stability of the slope caused by relevant factors were discussed deeply.The conclusion of this paper can be the application reference in the actual project, which also can offer some help to the support design of soil-rock mixed high slope and the construction research.
