In the central air-conditioning system, in order to meet the requirements of thesupply air condition and indoor thermal comfort, the cooled air is needed to beheated to the supply air status. It would result in the problem of energy offset. In thispaper, the Loop Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger will be researched to reduce airconditioning energy consumption caused by the energy offset.The heat transfer mechanism of the Loop Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger is verycomplex, and its heat transfer performance is affected by a lot of factors. The fillingrate is one of the important factors. In this paper, the theoretical calculation model ofthe filling amount of the Loop Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger is built and tested byexperimental datas. The impact of heat transfer performance of the Loop Heat PipeHeat Exchanger due to the filling rate is studied. The results show that the heattransfer capacity of the Loop Heat Pipe will be increase with the filling rateincreasing firstly, and then decrease with it. The heat transfer effect of the Loop HeatPipe Heat Exchanger will be best in filling rate of70%.Finally, the impact of energy-saving rate of the Loop Heat Pipe AirConditioning System due to the filling rate is analyzed, and it shows that of, Themaximum energy saving rate is between22%to27%, and the effect of energy savingis obvious.
