This article studied displacement ventilation air-condition, combined with theCFD technology and the typical subtropical climate features in the Guangzhou area;numerically simulated and experimentally studied air-flow characteristics in an officeusing displacement ventilation air-condition. The author compared the energyconsumption of displacement ventilation air-conditions with traditional mixingventilation air-conditions; the main results are as follows:(1) Compared with mixing ventilation air-condition, displacement ventilation aircondition is more efficiency for an office and could provide a more comfortablethermal environment and better air quality.(2) A mathematical model was builded. The author measured indoorenvironment parameters for this office in different conditions and compared theexperimental data with the stimulated data to verify the accuracy of the model.Studies have shown that: It is reasonable to choose the two-equation model, wallfunction and boundary conditions in this numerical simulation model and thecalculation results consistent well with experimental date.(3) The author calculated the energy consumption of this numerical simulationwith the supreme parameters. From the result we can get the conclusion that: InGuangzhou office building, the displacement ventilation air-condition will save25%-33%energy rather than mixing ventilation system. This results is of greatsignificance to develop the displacement ventilation air-condition in the future.
