Dual Clutch Transmission is a new type of automatic transmission. It mergesthe convenience of conventional automatic transmission with fuel economy andstrong power of manual transmission. It has become the focus of automotivetransmission technology research. In this article, the transmission system of DCT isdivided into the gear transmission system and the dual clutch system forresearching.Based the parameters of DQ250, a three-dimensional model of the DCT geartransmission had been established by the application of SolidWorks, then the modelhad been imported into ADAMS successfully, after adding appropriate constraintsand drive, the virtual prototype model of the transmission system was established.Based on contact theory, the gear transmission system realizes dynamics andkinematics simulation analysis. And the simulation result was explained withcorresponding theoretical analysis. Dynamics simulation results can be used as theboundary conditions of the DCT transmission system gear stiffness for furtheranalysis. Kinematics simulation results show that the DCT transmission systemwith smaller ratio shows more prone to cyclical fluctuations. In this article, theanalysis process as follows:the parametric design of parts-three-dimensionalmodeling of parts-sub-assembly modeling-total assembly modeling-kinematicsand dynamics simulation, in this process, CAD and CAE technologies has beenintegrated effectively.Wet dual-clutch is a main component of the DCT, the separation andcoalescence impact the shift quality directly. According to the dual-clutch shiftprinciple, the dual-clutch virtual prototype model was established in ADAMS.Based on the virtual prototype model, the angular velocity of the combined clutchwas showed.Comparing the simulation results of different situations, the shiftquality of the pros and cons at different times up to the same pressure wasqualitative analysised, rise to the different pressure in same time and in the sameslope. the following conclusions were found: in the gearshift process, in the case ofthe same pressure, the shorter pressure change in time, the shorter gearshift time, the smaller the friction work generated, but the greater of the impact of the vehicle; in the case of the same time rise to the different pressure, the greater the pressure, the shorter gearshift time, the smaller the generated friction work, but the greater ofthe impact of the vehicle; while pressure rise in the same slope, if the pressure isgreater than a certain value, the greater the pressure, the shift time is longer, theimpact is greater, but friction work is nearly unchanged.
