Transmission is an important component of automatic transmission. With thedevelopment of technology, there is a trend that more and more Dual ClutchTransmission (DCT) has been equipped, so DCT will be the focus of the research.This paper takes Dual-Clutch Transmission with selective output for researchobject and discusses its movement character and dynamics character by VirtualPrototyping. With this technology, we could save time and reduce cost. The mainpoints of the paper are listed below:Firstly, this paper introduces the working principles and structuralcharacteristics of Dual-Clutch Transmission with selective output. Then the threedimensional solid model is built by using PRO/E software.Secondly, build the multi-body kinematic model of transmission mechanismsin MSC-ADAMS environment. Then append the right joints and simulate themovement of transmission. The consistency of the simulation and the calculatedvalues of output speed indicate that the design of transmission ratio is correct.Finally, some parameters used in simulation of acting force in both spur gearsand planetary gears are presented based on Hertz formula. Then the multi-bodydynamics model of transmission parts of first shift is established in MSC-ADAMSenvironment. The consistency of the simulation and the calculated values of actingforce and frequency in gears indicate that the formula is correct. The results ofsimulation can be used the boundary conditions and load condition of transmissionparts. And the results also provide a theoretical basis for the optimization oftransmission.This thesis indicates that building simulation model of the transmission cangain relative exact results,more important is that we can simulate the process of thetransmission before physical prototypes have been made.
