Dual clutch transmission(DCT) that is based on the manual transmission is a mechanicaltransmission. It will not cut off the power in shifting process, and can improve drivingcomfort and fuel economy of vehicles. Most of the domestic tractors are equipped with amanual transmission. The tractors in the shifting process will produce power interruption, sothe design of a suitable DCT for the tractor is very important to improve its shiftcharacteristics. In the same time, using parametric approach to design DCT overcomes thedefect of repeatedly modified drawings in the traditional mechanical design and improves thedesign efficiency.According to the characteristics of the tractor and dual clutch, the thesis has designed aDCT for tractors. The research contents include determining overall structure andtransmission scheme of the DCT, calculating hydraulic oil path and designing all the parts ofthe DCT.On the basis of the designed results of DCT and the parametric design capabilities ofPro/E, the thesis has built the parametric models for total92parts of the DCT., includingstandard parts and non-standard parts Critical dimensions of the parts are driven byparameters, and by changing the value of the parameters we can get the correspondingthree-dimensional model.The thesis uses the family table of Pro/E to build a DCT database, and the databasecontains DCT for speed of2000r/min and power of40,50,60horsepower tractors By addingor deleting subprojects of the family table, we can achieve the increase or decrease of partsdatabase.The thesis has used Automation GATEWAY software to achieve the secondarydevelopment of Pro/E and built parametric design interface of the DCT in Visual Basicenvironment. The parametric design interface mainly includes free parametric design anddatabase of DCT. Using parametric design interface, users can enter their own parameters forthe model or call the database to obtain any part of the DCT.And through the interactive use of the Automation GATEWAY and Pro/program software,the thesis completed automatic assembly of the DCT and built the database for assembly. Through the parametric design interface, the user can call3DCT and9dual clutches forpower of40,50,60, horsepower tractors in the database.The parametric design system of DCT based on the second development of Pro/E issimple and has clear design ideas. Through using the parametric design system, users are ableto obtain the needed parts. And users can get two dimensional drawings by calling twodimensional engineering templates. These greatly improve the efficiency of the designers andshorten the development cycle of products.
