Facing the energy shortages and demanding to improve the living environment of today, if can we find a way to not only energy but also improve the environment?The answer is yes, and this new energy is the wind and the way to change the status s natural ventilation.As we all know, natural ventilation is no pollution, no energy consumption, especially in residential buildings, people are more willing to open the windows for ventilation instead of air condition cooling. As a passive cooling method, it has been the concern of scholars from various countries. Natural ventilation takes away the dirty indoor air by introducing outdoor fresh air. It is the healthy way to improve air quality and ensure healthy lifestyle.In the paper, through the introducing of the concept and style of the natural ventilation, and then elaborated impact of natural ventilation on indoor thermal environment of residential ventilation. And then is the research about the potential for natural ventilation in Shenyang. In this part, a variety of assessment methods about natural ventilation are described, with the comparative analysis, Multi-criteria assessment method is more suited our situation. So, the multi-criteria assessment was accepted for appraising the natural ventilation potential of the residential building of Shenyang、Harbin. Urumqi And Shanghai. The natural ventilation potential of Shenyang is best among the four cities. It is laid the theoretical foundation for using of ventilation.By testing indoor temperature, wind speed and humidity and so on, analysis of test results, at the same time, providing a more accurate boundary conditions for the simulation. Some simulating make by the Airpak about the room temperature and wind speed, and then compared it with test data.We can see from the comparison that the Multi-criteria are more accurate. At last, be extended simulation. Make a simulation to the different floors of the same family and the same unites with different floor of the wind field and velocity field.Through the analysis of the result of the numerical simulation, we can make a choice that we must select the proper ventilation of the North and South and the door and the window are not directly facing. On the basis of the Adaptive Model, combined with the typical meteorological year in Shenyang, analysis the impact of natural ventilation on thermal comfort in residential building, found the highest temperature the occupants can withstand in month of5-10of Shenyang. Make the highest temperature as the boundary of the air condition, calculating the energy saving of natural ventilation.
