With the rapid development of highways, urban viaducts and overpass in our country, thecontinuous box-girder curved bridges are widely used. Under the action of external forcessuch as selfweight and eccentric traffic loads, if there are no enough constraints at the bridgetransverse direction, it is easy to produce diseases of long-span continuous box-girder curvedbridges including transverse shifting and torsion etc.In this paper, by taking a continuous box-girder curved bridge as engineering case,reasons of the shifting and torsion deflections of continuous box-girder curved bridges areinvestigated through analyzing from design to construction, and the solutions with syncjack-up system and twist correction are also presented, which makes the continuousbox-girder curved bridge recovery as the design request. It has good reference value andengineering significance on the design and construction of continuous box-girder curvedbridges.The results show that:(1) Under the action of external force such as selfweight andeccentric traffic loads, if there are no enough constraints at the bridge transverse direction, itis easy to produce diseases of long-span continuous box-girder curved bridges includingtransverse shifting and torsion etc;(2) By using the two-way PLC hydraulic sync jack-uptechnique, the synchronicity of jack-up among the piers and the continuity of jack-up processcan be ensured;(3) By adding supports and setting transverse constraint measures, thediseases such as the continuous box-girder curved bridge’s transverse shifting andtorsion-deflection can be decreased significantly.
