Infrared optical have highly sensitive and image unstable factors in environment. It is no doubt that these conditions bring a big difference to the design of infrared in technology. So it is very necessary to find a suit way of image detect and adjustment.This paper introduces method in image detection of infrared optical system. Elaborate the working principle and structure of infrared image detection system. According to the measured infrared optical system testing requirements and parameters to determine the parameters of branch optical system. And design the branch optical systems. The design focused on infrared microscope objective lens which can make the second image for the measured infrared optical system’s image. Magnification of microscope objective lens is3.and the Numerical aperture is0.4. Because of the cold stop matching principle make the cold diaphragm as a Aperture stop in whole system. Based on the sensitivity characteristics of infrared optical material, make a temperature analysis from10℃to30℃for infrared microscope objective lens. And according to the result of temperature analysis make a athermal with optical passive thermal compensation.
