Based on the requirements of serving our society and local economy, and promoting theconnotation development, the author insists on teaching reform, takes ability as the standardand employment as the orientation, and aims at training skilled personnel. By investigatingthoroughly and analysing the urgent domestic demand and the school running conditions, theauthor puts forward a subjuect, that is A Research on Course Teaching Reform of Fundamentalsof Machinery Manufacturing Technology for Secondary Vocational and Technical Schools, which aims at exploring the new model, new methods and new strategies for course teachingreform of Fundamentals of Machinery Manufacturing Technology in the Secondary Vocationaland Technical School. The thesis adopts the methods of literature research, questionnaires survey, action research, individual cases observation and so on. This thesis thoroughly analyses research status at homeand abroad. It adopts Taylor’s curriculum theory and the competency-based education theory toguide the research and practice of this subject by using others’research achievements forreference. By analyzing the current teaching state of Fundamentals of MachineryManufacturing Technology, the author puts forward some basic views on the teaching reform ofthe course and focuses on the implementary measures and the evaluation scheme of theresearch. The main contents of the research are as follows:Firstly: the integration of multimedia teaching material: using VB to design courseware forthe fourteen chapters of the course by using PPT, electronic teaching plan, animation library, video library, chart table, problem sets, auto-generating test paper, on-line examination andamusement bar to teach, supervise, study independently and evaluate.Secondly: the construction and implementation of the “four steps and eight phases” teachingmodel: classroom teaching is carried out with the “four steps and eight phases”. The four stepsmeans “leading, self-study, interaction and consolidation”. The eight phases means “situation creation, showing target, self-study guidance, cooperative learning, result check, trainingconsolidation, summary and promotion, and effect evaluation”.Finally: the application of diversified teaching methods, a set of the evaluation schemes andmeasures: Teaching methods include direct teaching method, multimedia teaching method andnetwork teaching method. The evaluation schemes can evaluate the students’ learningperformances and abilities completely, so it meets the need for secondary vocational students’personality development and schools’ educational goals. In terms of theory, the thesis puts forward some basic viewpoints of the research subject, thusconstructs the basic framework of the teaching reform and the teaching model of Fundamentalsof Machinery Manufacturing Technology. In terms of practice, the research has promoted theteaching reform process and accelerated the pace of the school curriculum reform. On the baseof the success of the research, it has gradually promoted other disciplines and specialties byfanning out from a point to an area. It has spurred the "double-competency’" teachers at school. The teachers make clear the importance and urgency of the teaching reform and flingthemselves into it. The flexible using of various teaching methods has reached good teachingeffects. The students’ learning interest and enthusiasm are greatly inspired, so they learn better andbetter and good news at skills competition has been coming one by one, thus promotes thedevelopment of school strongly and has gained the expected results.
