Research And Suggestion To Improve The Professional Architectural Design Program At Secondary Vocational Schools

The thesis is focused on the research and analysis of professional architectural design program at secondary vocational schools in Baotou area. The status of architectural decoration industry, the demand of the society, personnel requirement, and postgraduate job opportunities is studied. The thesis analyzed the vocational educational feature, education objectives, curriculum, teaching facilities, and several other aspects of the professional architectural program at the secondary vocational schools in Baotou area. Some common problems in training objectives, curriculum, and application are identified. The author proposed that the secondary vocational education should be based on the design and focused on the application. One year of practice at the Light Industry School at Baotou achieved very good result. The effective teaching reform further indicates that only through combining clear education objectives and reasonable curriculum that can improve the education goal quality and quantity, and achieve prosperous development of the professional architectural design program.
