Steel space grid structure is a typical form of large-span space structures. In thepast, many researches were focused on anti-seismic behaviors of these structures. Butwhen structural span increases and the coverage materials become light,wind-resistant design of steel space structures has been the critical question in practice.Single-Layer spherical reticulate shell and Single-Layer cylindrical reticulate shell arecommon forms of large-span space grid structures. But there is no clear definition forwind-resistance design method of these structures in domestic load code.Systematic parameter analysis of wind-induced response of Kiewitt8-8typesingle-layer spherical reticulate shell and three-way grid single-layer cylindricalreticulate shell structures have been performed with random simulation method intime domain. The paper emphatically discusses the parameter influence law ofwind-induced response and wind-induced vibration coefficient of the two structures.Some significant conclusions are achieved and these will help to analyze themechanism of wind-induced response of large-span space grid structures. Moreover,the paper provides calculating chart of wind-induced vibration coefficient of the twostructures for designers to refer to.The main research contents are stated as below:1. Combining wind-resistance design characteristic of large-span space gridstructures, wind-induced response analysis method and wind-induced vibrationcoefficient design method are introduced. And the paper emphatically expoundsmethods which are employed, including random simulation method in time domain,the method of calculating wind-induced vibration coefficient, orthogonal designmethod. 2.According to orthogonal design scheme, response (displacement, stress) ofKiewitt8-8type single-layer spherical reticulate shell and three-way grid single-layercylindrical reticulate shell structures are calculated under different conditions byanalysis of domain. Moreover, wind-induced vibration coefficient is achieved. Basedon mathematical statistics of calculated results, different parameters are focused on.Then change rules of wind-induced response and wind-induced vibration coefficientof the two structures are summed up. Moreover, the understanding of thewind-resistance question of these structures is improved.3.Based on analysis results of the parameters, calculating chart of wind-inducedvibration coefficient of the two structures was prepared, which can provide referencefor some related codes.
