The modern ships are equipped with advanced electronic equipments. The ships cannotcomplete expected work without these electronic equipments. These advanced electronicequipments are likely to cause serious electromagnetic interference if they work at the sametime. When some ships perform the task, the mutual electromagnetic interference will bemore severe, even leading to the fact that electronic equipments cannot work at the same time.So how to adopt a method for ship electronic equipment modeling, and for shipelectromagnetic compatibility performance testing, has become a very important questionwhen to build the ships. Many companies, militaries and scientific research institutions athome and abroad has developed many electromagnetic compatibility simulation softwares, inorder to solve this problem.This paper is a part of the whole electromagnetic compatibility simulation software,mainly responsible for the modeling work of electronic equipments. The modeling forelectronic equipments is a very important part of electromagnetic compatibility simulationsoftware design. The quality of the modeling of electronic equipments has a direct impact onthe performance of electromagnetic compatibility simulation software. In Visual Studio2008software development environment, it adopts ACIS as the modeling engine of the entitymodeling, HOOPS as the display engine in this paper. ACIS can communicate with HOOPSthrough ACIS/HOOPS bridge, companying with MFC, implement the function of using theACIS kernel for modeling,and the HOOPS for display and human-computer interaction.First, software development environment that is Visual Studio2008is introduced.characteristics of MFC,the ACIS development software and the HOOPS developmentsoftware are on analysis in detail. On this basis, we construct the ship entity modelingelectromagnetic simulation platform, realize the functions of entity geometric modeling andelectromagnetic simulation parameters design. Among them, the entity geometric modelingachieves the software interface design, the single entity modeling function, the operation andboolean calculation of entity function, the history mechanism function, the model viewfunction and the file management function. Electromagnetic simulation parameters designfinishes the excitation source pulse parameter design function, the port parameter design function, the computational domain parameter design function, the mesh parameter designfunction, the far-field parameter design function.
