Deformation modeling technology has been widely applied in various fields of technology. In the machinery industry, in particular, which the innovation design or data processing of reverse engineering, in order to acquire beautiful appearance of the products, or to improve model accuracy of the reconstruction, adding various constraints to achieve the desired effect. Study the deformation modeling method based on energy principle, deformation module of the ACIS modeling component, HOOPS components of rendering technology, and develop the deformation modeling system which widely used in the field of reverse engineering and innovation design.Combining ACIS geometric modeling techniques and HOOPS model rendering components, proposed deformation modeling system function definitions, and discuss the connections between the other modules, deformation modeling system for modeling modules, the deformation module, the display module, etc. Main work and conclusions are as follows:1) B-spline curves and surfaces of the basic theories and methods are discussed, ACIS, HOOPS and InterOp components are briefly introduced. The deformation theory of energy optimization elaborated, which provides a theoretical basis for the development of deformation modeling system.2) Contact data processing of reverse engineering, achieve the functional definition of deformation modeling system and develop it with ACIS, HOOPS and InterOp components.3) Develop the various functional modules.4) Proposed the SAT format and STL file convert into each other, which make up for the InterOp only to used commonly file format convert.5) In finals, two experiments to verify that the deformation modeling system was used in practical. one application is data fusion of reverse engineering, which could improve the accuracy of the CAD model。And another application is innovation design, which could increase the diversity of product.
