The pipe penetration piece is an important part of the watertight bulkheads, and thepipeline vibration is one of the important factors of the ship vibration and noise, that is causedby the flow turbulence in the pipelines. The pipes used to be connected with the bulkheads bywelding form, which, as we know, belongs to the rigid connection form. There is no vibrationreduction between them, and the vibration propagates through the pipes to the seawater andthe other parts of the ship. So it is urgently needed to take measures to reduce the vibrationand noise on the pipelinesIn this paper flexible graphite, as new material and to be instead of rubber, is designed tobe a shock absorber by the basic design principle for the specific pipe penetration piece in thispaper. And the optimum assembly interference magnitude of the shock absorber is calculatedranging from0.1mm to0.3mm by using ansys interference analysis. Then the dynamiccharacteristics of the pipeline, which is connected with a flexible graphite shock absorber, iscalculated by the ansys harmonic analysis method and compared with the dynamiccharacteristics rigid connection form in amplitude-frequency characteristic,velocity-frequency characteristic and acceleration-frequency characteristic.
