Since the inception of the finite element method, because of its versatility, flexibility,precision, it has become an integral and effective method of calculation in the analysis ofengineering structures. In the numerical analysis of engineering structures people will takerandom factors into account, and the finite element method gradually developed into thestochastic finite element method. At the same time, only the reliability theory and stochasticfinite element method combined, the complex reliability of the structure system can becalculated, and also safety factor can be got away from the traditional analysis and designmethods. Based on structural reliability theory, stochastic analysis has formed a morecomplete theoretical system after years of development. Based on the research and overviewof the stochastic finite element, structural reliability analysis and structural strength of the hull,it can be known that the approximate expression and analytical methods of perturbationstochastic finite element method in calculating the local hull structural reliability provide aneffective solution to the reliability of the hull structure.Firstly, this paper summaries the relevant theories and methods of the stochastic finiteelement method and structural reliability analysis, and makes a related introduction of thetheoretical basis and the basic process of ANSYS PDS module. And then, the article detailsthe hull structure failure modes, and sums up the main structure of the hull of the failure mode.These all make a solid theoretical foundation to the application of the perturbation stochasticfinite element method in calculating the local hull structural reliability. Under this basicprocedure, the article gives the program design process diagram, and provides two typical hullstructures-the hull girder and stiffened plate frame (plate girder combination) as examples toverify the feasibility of the program. At last, assuming the calculation results of the ANSYSprobabilistic design modules as the reference value, the results can verify the accuracy andfeasibility of the program in the hull structural reliability analysis, taking a cabin of some shipas the model.The perturbation stochastic finite element method that this thesis proposed can bedirectly used to calculate the reliability of ship structures, which has reduced the difficulty ofthe calculation of large and complex structure reliability. It has good theoretical and applicable value in practical engineering applications.
