The floor isolation and energy dissipation (FIED) structure system is a new type of structure system which isolates part of the floor from the main structure, an isolation layer is set up between the floor and the beams and some of energy dissipation dampers are installed between the floor and the columns. The biggest difference between the FIED structure system and the traditional tuned mass damper (TMD) structure system probably is its tuned mass is a mass isolated from the main structure, which means no need for auxiliary mass. So it can decrease the dynamic response of the main structure further.Parameters optimization is very important for the theory analysis of FIED structure system, and analysis about the parameters optimization of FIED structure system is little. So a systematic study about parameters optimization of FIED structure system was carried out in this thesis.The main work includes the follow respects:1. the optimization problem of single FIED structure system under the harmonic ground excitation was discussed, by selecting minimaxing the main structure displacement for the optimal object, an optimal solution of the parameters is found. And then the control performance of the optimal FIED structure system is compared with the TMD counterpart.2. Taking the site characteristics into consideration, the optimal parameters of the single FIED and TMD structure system are found by minimizing the ratio between the protected and unprotected main system variance. And the control effectiveness of optimal FIED structure system and the TMD structure system are compared.3. A9story benchmark model is selected for the unprotected structure, the FIED structure system, the STMD structure system and the MTMD structure system are applied for control respectively. The parameters optimizations of these control systems that minimizes the sum of the expected value of the squared floor-to-floor drift are accomplished. Finally the control performance of these structure systems is compared.After parameters optimization and comparison analysis, it’s found that the FIED structure system can diminish the dynamic response of the main structure much better, compared with the TMD structure system; what’s more its tuned mass dynamic response is smaller than the TMD structure system.
