With the rise of computer technology, the non-linear concept bring a newpattern to the architecture. Nonlinear smooth and beautiful architectural formreflecting the promotion of the architectural concept, architectural design method ofnonlinear thinking. Nonlinear building assisted in the development of computertechnology in order to tend to nature, more "people-oriented" as the goal ofcontinuous development, and strive to make the building more rational and moreability to deal with complexity and contradiction.Paper starting from the nonlinear theory, interprets of the theory of nonlinearscience and features, compared with the original linear science. Nonlinearcharacteristics of integrity, self-organization, openness, adaptability, focus on analysisof these features in the architectural design, logic design, thinking, methods, availabletechnologies, research tools have had a significant impact, and ultimately reflected inthe architecture form. More construction and human interaction, more in line with thecharacteristics of the background of the globalization of information exchange.Papers context can be described as: learning to nonlinear science and philosophy, usethe nonlinear theory of current research and practical results, and explore thearchitecture in the context of the world’s environment differences and thedevelopment of science and technology and computer technology, non-linear thinkingin the design process, design methods and thinking change. Paper use the theoreticalinstance, the author’s own practical experience, summed up the field of architecturaldesign characteristics of the non-linear thinking. Objective analysis of the progressand shortcomings of the non-linear thinking, and summarizes the closely relatednonlinear thinking and contemporary architecture as well as instructive to explore thebuilding on the epistemology and methodology.
