As a sort of renewable energy, hydro-electric power technique has a goodprospect in application. Bulb tubular turbine with large flow is the best choice becauseit has been proved that tubulous hydraulic power plant is a smart way to exploit low-head water resources. The structure design of rotor bracket would produce greatinfluence on the safety in operation and the manufacturing cost of equipment which isone of key components of generator set.Based on the origin mechanism, force analysis is studied on three structuredesign projects of rotor bracket, including the type of diagonal reinforcement, webplate and web plate with radial rib, with finite element method.Finally, the architecture is decided through comparing strength and rigidity ofthree structures under various conditions: dead weight, rated load operation, runaway,vertical lifting.The main work of the article is as follow:1. Apart from the three-parameter model, rotor bracket of generator set ofXinglong tubular turbine is designed into three different structures using the softwareof Pro/E.2. Regarding the actual working condition and structural characteristics of rotorbracket, its simulation model is established with the software of Ansys, involving thesetting of element type, material properties, meshing, boundary conditions and loads.Besides, mechanical property under four operation conditions is also analyzed bycontrast.3. According to the result of simulations and performances of three structures,suggestions are provided on applicable situation and structure optimization afteranalyzing advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of rotor bracket. In conclusion,the type of web plate with radial rib is considered as the top design plan of rotorbracket of generator set of Xinglong tubular turbine.
