By alleviating numerous urban issues, which is arise from the preferentialdevelopment pattern of motor vehicle traffic, it must be noted that advocating andconstructing bicycle transportation system and the network of greenway is the efficientpath to access the sustainable urban development both at home and abroad. However, cityis driven by a perplexing and associated system and that is why how to effective maximizethe operating factor is still an urgent problem on the base of integrating a multi-level yet acoherent system. Contemporaneously, there seems to be a more humanistic perspective tosurvey and optimize the urban landscape and pattern which ground on bicycletransportation system in the future compare with present dehumanized enlargement oftransportation space and open space. Biking city, an ideal of international urban evolution,should be a trendy pursuance in the next city which emphasizes the relationship within acommunity, between communities, between job and life, also the links between the bikingand motor vehicle to and from the entertainments.As to the aforementioned analysis, this dissertation brings out a construction patternof urban synthesizing type greenway network (USTGN) of bicycle transportation system.Urban synthesizing type greenway is random make up by the multi-type greenway whichconsists of urban patches and corridor. So far as the patch is considering, it covers urbangreen land, ecological scenic spot and this kind of natural areas; equally, the artificialpatches are also a part of urban patches such as urban open space, historical streets, uniquehistoric architectures, communities, schools, industrial zones, and commercial centre. Inthe case of corridor, it refer to linear green land, waterfront spaces, landscape modifiedbicycle greenway and etcetera. This pattern of construction in the service of bicycle users,judiciously affiliate various of board space, oriented corridor forms toward different typesof bicycle greenway, eventually build a USTGN which is permeating safety, health,pleasantness, leisure.Afterwards, it takes much effort to research and analyze the necessity and feasibilityof this constructible pattern and drew a conclusion from relevant cases in this paper.Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this paper selects investigative object in WuChangdistrict of Wuhan city, a two-oriented society test areas, where build method system and implementation strategy to verify the practicability of pattern. It will fundamentallyimprove the urban landscape, optimize the urban structure and upgrade the charming ofcity and to provide impetus of economic booming of surrounding cities of green way.Furthermore, in the personal level, the development of virtuous circle will render people tomend their trip mode; meanwhile, in the urban level, many problems will smooth awayalso.At last, the application in GIS about the greenway layout analysis and greenway tripline choosing should base on the futhur GIS data of the cities in China.More scientific andconvenience GIS model research about greenway is expected.
