Energy and the environment are the pressing issues needed to be addressed for todaythe survival and development of human society. As the first of total energyconsumption,electric power is a kind of secondary energy and comes from theconventional energy.Conventional energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas, arelimited and emissions like SO2, CO2and other harmful gases and dust to the atmosphereafter combustion have caused serious environmental pollution. Therefore, in order toreduce the environmental damage of conventional energy, the world’s countries are activein wind power. Although at present the proportion of the world’s wind power capacity inthe total power consumption is little, the rapid development of wind power capacity andthe maturity and continuous improvement of wind power technology make wind powerone energy which will attract more attention and development. So the study of the windpower control strategy is of great significance.The main work carried out include:1、Analyse the structure of wind turbine and the air dynamics theory related to windpower, and deduce the dynamic equation and power expression of the whole unit. On theabove basis, analyse the structure of wind power system and the VSCF wind powergenerator which is the research object of this paper in detail, and establish a simulationmodel in the Matlab platform.2、At present,the systematic study of the wind turbine generator’s starting up controlstrategy in the literature is little, and the related material only has the qualitativedescription of this control strategy, so this paper puts forward a maximum torque startingup control strategy in order to realize the control target of starting up quickly.The Matlabsimulation results verify that the effects of the actual wind speed fluctuation and thecontrol wind speed deviation to the control strategy are small. On the above basis,simplifythe control law to a linear expression only related with the generator speed, and thesimulation results prove the rationality of this simplification and indicate that themaximum torque starting up control strategy can meet the control requirement of startingup quickly in different wind conditions.3、Analyse the control of the closing down, and establish the Matlab model andrealize the simulation of the normal stop process and the emergency stop process.
