As the development of urbanization, there are a lot of problems with the process ofthe modern habitat environment, which caused great inconvenience to people’scomfortable life as well. Designers have created new ideas and methods continuously toresult the problems. Especially during these years, Green Infrastructure have been acutting-edge discipline issues of the Landscape Architecture subject, and have beenelevated to a strategic height of indispensable framework of the natural life supportation,which could be an effective solution to the natural absence of habitat environment.The green infrastructure should cross the engineering line, it can be considered as theresources under the development and landscape provide an unique perspective.This thesis takes “Community-scale” as the scope because of the microscopiccharacteristic of design. With the focus on the combination of green infrastructure andlandscape design, It starts with the phenomenon of anti-domestic natural of the currentlandscape architecture., the uncertainty of "Eco-design" and the conversion of the target oflandscape architecture, and then explores the solution with the method of Near-naturaldesign based on the more maturely research of the west countries, with the purpose ofsustainability of the habitat environment.Through analyzing the problems of the modern relationship between city and nature,uncertainty of ecology and ecological design, the changes of landscape architecture target,in order to put forward the necessity and feasibility of the research of Near-natural designof green infrastructure in scale of Community. In addition, Near-natural design is arelatively new concept, it is necessary to explain its characteristics. On this basis, it’snecessary to explore the need and feasibility of the combination of Near-natural designwith the green infrastructure of Community-scale by a clearing understanding of the greeninfrastructure’s composition and characteristics, to form the basic framework of the study.Considering two aspects of green infrastructure in community-scale-"spatial unit" and"spatial structure" to be the core, research will be carried out by the analysis with therespective content, feature, combined with representative case studies.Through putting forward the the development and evolution of Near-natural design, the induction of the meaning and characteristics, submitting the method onto theframework building of green infrastructure in community-scale, and this thesis goes to theconclusion:(1) The green infrastructure in community-scale has been reconsidered as a potentialresources of habitat environment, and it puts forwards a new aspect of Near-naturaldesigning method,which established on the engineering technique to solve the greeninfrastructure problems, have operational and multidisciplinary interaction.(2) It discusses the evelopment and current research of near-natural design, whichcould be a feasible and necessary method of LA, with the clarify of the interpretation inthe understanding and practice of Near-natural design to promote its effectiveness as akind of design intervention.(3) With a discussion of the type and characteristics of green infrastructure incommunity-scale systematically, it established the model of Near-natural design of thegreen infrastructure in Community-scale with two ways of utilization of residents andnatural living beings, and especially takes some case studies with each type which haveimportant the theoretical and practical significance.
