| In recent years,China’s rapid urbanization and regional integration continues to accelerate. The imbalance of supply and demand of ecosystem services caused by the lack of"ecological priority"concept of construction leads to a series of problems. The urban heat island,green-land loss, environmental pollution, biodiversity reduction and other ecological risk problems have became a unignorable threat to regional ecological security and constraints on the sustainable development of social economy. With the continuous promotion of ecological civilization construction and the proposal of a series of policy and planningsuch as‘National Territory Spatial Planning’and‘Park City’,the construction of coordinated and unified spatial planning on the regional scale will become an important path to achieve the new urban development and ecosystem protection.Green infrastructure(GI)network planning,as a systematic ecological governance strategy and measure, has received persistent attention from various correlative fields. It plays a significant role in maintaining ecosystem functions, guiding the efficient and sustainable development of urban-rural space utilization patterns, and improving the quality of human-being.Based on the analysis of the available regional GI network research, this paper put forward the regional GI network planning method by referring to the existing spatial planning ways and technical theory, and tookthe Southern Jiangsu urban agglomeration as the research object, related studies were carried out as follows:(1)The GI sources were evaluated byecosystem service function and landscape spatial connectivityanalysis.Considering the characteristics of Southern Jiangsu Province, the ecosystem service function wasanalyzed from three aspects:water conservation, soil and water conservation and biodiversity maintenance. Then taking the most important areas of ecosystem services as the analysis object, the MSPA and landscape connectivity indexwas used to evaluate the landscape spatial connectivity for sources selection.(2)Based on the minimum cumulative resistance model and the habitat quality assessment results of In VEST model, the regional ecological resistance surface was constructed and modified.According to the the spatial distribution of GI sources,GI corridors were extracted by the least-cost path method. In addition, buffer analysis wasused to analyze the proportion of land use types in the corridor for analysis of the control range of corridor width.(3)Based on the GI network structure of Southern Jiangsu urban agglomeration, the strategic points with special and important functions wereobtained by various methods based on the current river and road conditions in the research area.Secondly,by using the land development index model and the demand assessment of ecological recreation and cultural services, the spatial protection priority of the elements of GI network wasobtained by building the service demand pattern of regional ecosystem.(4)The GI network wascompared with the existing spatial planning,as to clarified the goal and focus of the strategy implementation.Based on the spatial structure of GI network and the results of spatial priority discrimination, the research proposedthe planning implementation strategies. The main conclusions are as follows:1)The most important areas of ecosystem service function are mainly concentrated in the central and southern part of Su-Xi-Chang Region, the southern part of Nanjing, and areas in Nanjing and Zhenjiang along the Yangtze River.Totally 60 GI source areas with a total area of 3629.33km~2 were selected, which were scattered in important water bodies(Yangtze River,Taihu Lake,Yangcheng Lake and Gehu Lake, etc.)and mountains(Ningzhen mountains,Yili mountains,etc.).2)130 GI corridors with a total length of 2584.69km and an average length of 19.88km were extracted. The corridor width was suggested to be controlled in the range of 100-200m.They connected with each sources basically covers the whole area of the study area, forming a regional GI network spatial structure.3)280 GI strategic pointswere obtained. The GI sources and corridors with the highest priority are mainly distributed in the northern riverside zone of the research area,as well as in the major cities and core urban areas.Meanwhile, the lowest priority GI sources and corridors are mainly distributed in Gaochun,Jurong and Liyang.4)Three kinds of GI network planning implementation strategies of‘priority development, coordinated development and long-term protection’were put forward, and pointed out the development mode and path of GI space under different strategies.Through the above research, the results provided spatial guidances for the construction of ecological civilization in southern Jiangsu under the background of the accelerating process of regional integration.Meanwhile, ithas important practical significance for the construction of planning systems such as the ecological security pattern, land use layout, urban and rural greenspace system of Southern Jiangsu urban agglomeration. It also provided some references for the GI network planning of other regions or urban agglomerations in China. |
