In recent years, solar water heater has been taking part in the Chinese government’sconsumer electronics subsidy program, solar heating is applied in new countryside, theinstallation of solar energy system has been a mandatory provision in some provinces.Because of the environmental protective and economic operation cost, the solar thermalutilization system is well received among the owners and is being adopted in more andmore civil buildings. However, the requirements of the solar building integration isgetting increased, solar energy systems are adapted to suit the shape designing ofbuildings instead of designed according to the optimum heating capacity. For instance,the tile installation, slope roof installation (including convex installation and flushmount) as well as vertical installation of solar heat collector, all these methods of solarheater collector installation enlarges the initial cost and reduces the energy saving effect,meanwhile, the project payback time is prolonged correspondingly. In this case,re-evaluate the solar thermal utilization systems among the country becomes necessaryso that to make detailed compare. The selection of typical cities is based on the typicalcity weather data in the appendix of the national building standard atlas <Selection andInstallation of Solar Energy Centralized Hot Water System06SS128>. The selectedcities (regions) not only basically covered the typical radiation area of China mainland,but also can be extended to other area in certain degree. After aggregate analysis, in thispaper, the hot water systems of17typical cities (regions) among China mainland areselected to make contrast. In the meantime, the heating systems of9cities (regions) areselected.According to the design formulas in the current national standard <Solar WaterHeating System Design, Installation and Engineering Acceptance TechnicalSpecification> GB/T18713-2002, as well as the related content from <Solar WaterHeating System of Civil Building Engineering Technology Manual>, the detailedbenefit analysis of solar thermal utilization system is made under the circumstance ofsolar building integration. The analysis includes energy saving analysis, life cycle costsaving analysis, payback time evaluation, and environmental efficiency analysis. Itarrived at a conclusion that, in solar water heating system, the installation methods of slope roof installation and tile installation should be promoted, because these two kindsof installation methods can help to achieving maximum energy conservation andminimum payback time. For solar heating system, it came to the conclusion that, thesolar thermal utilization system shall be promoted in the areas where there is no naturalgas supply, however, in areas where have natural gas supply, the solar thermalutilization system is not very favorable. This paper provides large amount of dataanalysis for reference. In the topic of new style development pattern, the author mainlydiscussed the feasibility of the solar thermal utilization system implementation in CDMand EMC, which aimed at promoting the development of solar thermal utilizationindustry.
