| On the downhill roads,braking is the important problem in the driving. When the vehiclein the continuous downhill sections,In order to control the speed,the driver have to use theservice brake frequently.If the service braking system’s braking performance lose efficacyeven not work properly with the high frequent using.Will be a big influence to the safety.Equipped with the compression air engine braking system is a effective way to slove theproblem.This paper will give a research to the performance of the compression air enginebraking system and the driving mode of vehicle equipped with the compression air enginebraking system.This paper introduced the styles and the development of the continuous braking system,kinds of the continuous braking system’s structure and characteristics.The principle andworking process of the compression air engine.Through the results of tests on the levelroad,we had a continuous braking test in the downhill sections of Xi’an-Hanzhong Highway.Analysis the data,and contrast the gradient of the road,we got the speed,the deceleration,theemergency braking of the compression air engine in different sections.we aslo had acalibration test to the air pressure of the air chamber,and got the relationship between the airpressure and the brake force.had a noise test,measure the noise of cab in the same speed whenthe compression air engine braking system is on or off.Measured the temperature of the wheelhub and contrast the results before and after braking.According to the different gradient give different analysis to the test results, analysis thedriving strategy of different sections,and analysis the driving strategy of different sectionswhile the vehicle is in the fullload condition or overload5tons or overload10tons.and give acontrast among them.The results will give a theoretical basis to the safety of the commercial vehicle equippedwith the compression air engine driving in the continuous downhill sections.And giveguidence to our country’s continuous downhill driving. |
