The road traffic is one of the strategic focuses of China’s economic and social developmentwhich is related to the basic economic and social development, leading industry and serviceindustries. In recent years, with China’s rapid economic development, road construction andtransportation industry are also in the high-speed development. Learning in the analysis ofdata from the calendar year, particularly serious economic losses and casualties were causedby heavy vehicle traffic accidents. When the heavy commercial vehicles in continuousdownhill, theirs braking systems are always braking failure. The main reason is that the brakehub overheating after the brakes frequently used. Therefore, installed on commercial vehiclescontinued brake is very necessary. This paper is mainly studying on flat road experiment forcontinuing the exhaust valve brake in the brake and meticulous researches. This paper made a detailed description of the exhaust valve brake structure, includingworking principle, the working process and the use of exhaust valve in the braking process. To researching the brake effect, we conducted the exhaust valve brake flat road experiment. We obtained the continuous braking performance of the quantitative results and analyzed theresults in detail. At the same time, we also obtained the corresponding exhaust valve brakepower at different engine speeds and had a comparative analysis about the brake power andthe engine power rating. Then it compared to the engine-driven performance curve. Based on the establishment oftheoretical analysis to stabilize the vehicle dynamics model for downhill speed andaccordingly the measured data calculated heavy truck in case of no-load and full load. The useof the file Exhaust Valve Brake downhill slope at different ramp speed and stability can beachieved, and analyzed this sustained brake system effect for the security. The study results of the Exhaust Valve Brake system were contributed to the safety ofcommercial vehicle driving downhill and were provided a theoretical basis with a certaindegree of practical significance for commercial vehicle safety driving downhill.
