Broaching of fir-type groove is the most important process in manufacture ofheavy-duty gas turbine rotor disk. The requirement of dimensional accuracy, shapeand position accuracy and machined surface quality of the grooves are very high.Meeting geometric accuracy of the grooves mainly depends on the accuracy of themolding tools. The surface quality of the grooves depends on broaching process,especially the optimization of broaching parameter. The material of heavy-duty gasturbine rotor disc is difficult to machine. There are several factors in affectingmachining accuracy and surface quality of the grooves. They are cutting force, cuttingtemperature, tool wear and cutting vibration. In this paper we investigate broachingprocess of fir-type groove, which is one of the core processes in homemade courseabout V94.3A heavy-duty gas turbine.The influences of cutting force, broaching parameter and tool structure on toolwear and cutting vibration are analyzed. Cutting parameters of roughing,semi-finishing and finishing are obtained. This article provides the basis on broachingprocess of heavy-duty gas turbine disk. |
