Nowadays, broach mostly depends on imported in the manufacture of heavy-duty gas turbine rotor, especially the design and manufacture of big size, high dependable broach because of lacking core technology. High dependable manufacture is related to the material、geometry、strengthening the cutting edge and refining manufacture、broaching process parameters and so on. It is obvious that the precise design, low defect broach manufacture and flexible application is the key problem needed to be solved.The paper aims at the broaching of fir-type groove for heavy-duty gas turbine rotor, It makes us develop geometry parameter design of the broach、 the trial manufacture and performance evaluation and study on application technology of the broach. By means of the technical route(the combination of modeling and simulation and cutting test),it let us gain the cutting edge parameters of the broach、the parameters of the essence feature design. It aims at optimized broach for the Class 3 turbine disk of TO195 to conduct trial manufacture and performance evaluation. Aiming at broach application to develop broach resharpening and technical research of chipping process, the paper provides the technology basis of high dependable broach design and manufacturing for developing the heavy gas turbine rotor disk.
