With the development of electric power technology and new energytechnology at home and abroad, Distributed Generation (DG) is alsogreatly developed. Compared with foreign countries, the development ofDG, with low starting point, is slow, and the new energy efficiency is alsoslow in our country, because of our national conditions and policy reasons.In recent years, a series of energy policies have been issued to make thesustainable development of DG, however, the relevant test of DG is stillscarce in our country. Therefore, in order to make use of DG more reliably,efficiently and safely, it’s very significant and necessary to do somerelevant researches on the detection of DG.Based on the analysis of the technology development and currentdetection situation of DG at home and abroad, related standards about DGare seriously studied; the detection contents of DG are summarized for fivetypes: electrical performance, protection function, safety detection,environmental detection and electromagnetic compatibility detection. Theconcepts related automatic switch machine, soft start, efficiency, harmonicvoltage unbalance degree, prevent islanding and voltage response, powercontrol are mainly presented, methods and circuits about related detectionare also designed. At the same time, related performances of the keyhardware equipments are analyzed in the detection, and the wholedetection circuit about DG is constructed.On the analysis of principle and application about the virtualinstrument technology, based on the virtual instrument technology,computers, industrial control computers (ICC) and various GPIB (GeneralPurpose Interface Bus) equipments are linked through various buses to construct the automatic detection system of DG. At the same time, with thereference to related standard of DG, the applications based on LabVIEW(Laboratory Virtual instrument Engineering Workbench) are put forward,and relevant software modules, GPIB communications are also set up to dothe main detection about DG. In addition, the collected data can be sharedby different GPIB equipments to realize automatic detection through dataprocessing.Through the analysis of the data processing, the detection systembased on LabVIEW is constructed to complete the detection related DG.
