With the growing global energy crisis and the implement of therelevantpolicies of building energy-saving, recently the fire hazards of theexisting insulation systems highlighted. Aimed at Tibetan Plateau high-altitude,high-cold climate characteristics, how to solve the local green, safe anddurable building energy efficiency is an urgent need of the important issues toscience and technology workers of the Tibetan Plateau. The paper first investigated the application status of existing insulationmaterials used in high-altitude, high-cold alpine region, consideratedproblems in the using of building insulation materials and the overallrequirements for building insulation materials, combined with the area’sunique natural features, decided to develop the inorganic insulation material.Inorganic insulation mortar selected the more common local raw materialssuch as expanded perlite, cement, silica fume, MAMF fiber, designedorthogonal experiment of25mix ratios, observed the effect of4variablequantitys (glue ratio, silicon fume, crumb rubber content and fiber content)tothe inorganic insulation mortar’s performance.Through the comprehensive comparison of dry apparent density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity and unilateral cost, determined thebest ratio. Successfully the developed inorganic insulation mortar’s dryapparent density achieved to269kg/m~3, thermal conductivity to0.058W/(mK), the compressive strength to0.61MPa.For the existing buildings and new buildings in the high-altitude,high-cold alpine region, we designed two wall forms by using the develoedinorganic insulation mortar as the insulation layer. Through thicknesscalculation, we discovered the two wall forms both met the severe cold andcold regions of the residential building energy efficiency design standardrequirements. The two wall forms were wiping20mm thick inorganicinsulation mortar for the existing buildings and wiping each sides15mm thick inorganic insulation mortar taked the200mm thick external wall blocks forthe new construction. The inorganic insulation mortar insulation system has lots of merits suchas good integrity, thermal insulation properties, comprehensive and strong, low price, ease of use of local materials, simple construction, fire preventionenvironmental protection, lower cost, expected to replace the plug benzeneboard, etc. Through the evaluation of the inorganic insulation materials’advanced technology, economic and functional aspects, indicated that thematerial is a green eco-building materials. For further studying high-altitude,high-cold areas of building insulation materials, provided a theoretical basisand technical support.
