Traditional method of ship-experiments’ data processing is based on artificial work,without a standardized format, which is complicated and easy to cause errors. As a newsubject, self-righting ship, which has been researched all over the world, still depends ontest due to the lack of authoritative theory. This paper will try to improve the automation,standardization and precision of the ship-experiments’ data processing. Based on thetheory of ship speediness test, ship’s stability and ship roll, with theoretical derivation andapproximate treatment, this paper will develop a platform on ship-experiments’ dataprocessing with the help of Matlab GUI. Then two examples will be discussed todemonstrate the validity of the platform.Based on the principle of the ship-experiment of resistance, open water andpropulsion, several methods are brought into the platform, in which the resistance can beprocessed by2-dimension and3-dimension method, the propulsion by British method, theprediction of full-scale ship’s performance by ITTC-1978formula. The platform makesthe data processing much easier.On the strength of theory of ship’s stability and ship roll, in this paper finite divisionand approximate integration are used to research the course of the self-righting ship’smotion and obtain the revovery time and the simulation of motion.At the end of this paper, two examples are given to validate the practicability of theplatform.
