In this thesis, the design and implementation method of the non-invasivemeasurement system for Arterial Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) has been discussed. BecauseSpO2can be used to monitor pulmonary heart disease, and SpO2is also needed in OR andICU, so, it is important to measure SpO2.With the improvement of standard of living andthe care of health, the clinic health monitoring will transfer from Hospital to thecommunity and home, and the health monitoring devices will be more and moremultifunctional and portable. We firstly introduce the theory and method of non-invasive measurement of SpO2.And then, we design the digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm to filter noise andcalculate heart rate and SpO2. We use the digitalize and modularize design pattern todevelopment a novel data acquisition (DAQ) system, and the accuracy and reliability ofthe DAQ has been evaluated. It is proved that the system is reasonable and can be used toacquire PPG signals at different situations. At last the front-end circuit and the algorithmwere integrated in the STM32F103embedded platform as a SpO2measurement device. The DAQ system designed in the thesis can be used to acquire PPG signal data atdifferent situations, and we can use this data to build a data library, then use the library toresearch DSP algorithm to reduction the effect of motion artifact and low perfusion; in theother hand, the DAQ system can be expanded to acquire other signals very easily. Theresearch of this thesis provided a heuristic case, in which the system was divided intoseveral modules, and every module was designed respectively to ensure the performanceof the system.
