Reverse engineering(RE)is more and more widely used in modern design andmanufacturing, and it has been increasingly used in more areas such as aerospace,automotive, mold, heritage digitization, medical as well as shipbuilding and so on. Withthe development of RE,a variety of measurement methods and techniques have beendeveloping, while the non-contact measurement of the optical measurement of surfacestructure as represented have been developed by leaps and bounds.In this paper, we did a conducted in-depth research based on some of the problemsencountered in the measurement part in the seven sub-projects in the framework of the EUmission, we studied a few typical measurement of complex parts based on the monocularlight structure.In this paper, we did a detailed description of the optical3D measurement,classification and the basic principles, we also described the single-surface light structurein detail, which analyzed the composition of the system and the basic principles. Thecoordinate transformation, the phase shift calculation, the phase unwrapping calculationand three-dimensional reconstruction were also described in detail.For some of the parts of the measurement process, in this paper, we designed ameasurement of a turntable system which described the principle of its composition, thebasic idea of the turntable calibration in detail. We introduced the calibration principle forthe turntable which been used in this paper, the coordinate transformation, the calibrationof the turntable shaft by the calibration plate. On the basis of this turntable system, themeasurement of some of the parts became more rapid and convenient, which improved theefficiency of the measurement.In this paper, we discussed the methods and theory of the data merging, which weredescribed in the algorithm of the least squares method and the ICP algorithm. In the end,we had did some correlation analysis for the accuracy of the model error, whichintroduced some measurement instance of a few parts based on the monocular lightstructure.
