ITER(International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor)is a superconductivitytokamak which is used to produce large-scale fusion reaction. In order to control andoperate ITER, the ITER designed the CODAC(COntrol,Data Access and Communication)control system. ITER CODAC has realized controlling and protecting ITER by formulatingthe rules of the hardware and the software and finally reached the goal using the resourceeffectively. As J-TEXT is also a tokamak, the J-TEXT designed the J-TEXT CODACcontrol system to integrate the sub-systems into J-TEXT and centralize the control. TheJ-TEXT CODAC references the idea of ITER CODAC and follows most of the ITERCODAC standard. It also plays a part in testing and verifying the ITER CODAC. The SDD(Self Description Data) system and bottom layer communication are both very importantparts of J-TEXT CODAC. The subject about them is studied in this thesis.This thesis mainly talks about the SDD system. This system is used to provide theinformation of the instruments and control tasks. Different sub-systems could use the samecontroller and software but loaded with different SDD to achieve different control tasks.There is no need to figure out a special control sub-system for each of them. The SDDsystem consists of SDD editor, SDD files, Database and Interface, which satisfiescollecting, carrying, memorizing, transforming the information of the bottom devices. TheC#, XML, SQL Server are all used to develop these four parts. After testing the SDDsystem, all the design has reached the goal of the design. At the same time, it enhances theexpansibility of the control software J-TEXT EPICS which runs on the J-TEXT CODAC.The bottom layer communication of J-TEXT CODAC is also studied in this thesis. It isa collection of communication programs, which suit TCP, UDP and Serial port separately.The device communicates with the server of J-TEXT EPICS by choosing the suitablecommunication program from the bottom layer communication.
