Study On The Regionally Landscape Design In South Of Zhejiang Province And North Of Fujian Province

As the economy and technology grows at fast paces, society are more focusing oneffectiveness and efficiency which put the mass idea over customized characteristics andignore the local culture. Landscape architecture is one of the typical examples in whichtrend following has dominant the market and outstanding landscape design with localculture footprint has been disappearing. Modern landscape designing faces the problemunavoidably both in architecture and landscaping fields. Currently, civil engineering ison its fast track and landscaping improvement project has significantly showing theprogress. However, we have to admit that lots of the projects copy with each otherfacially without taking the spirits of the designs. The main reason is that designers aremore prefer “taken” rather than “creation”, which makes our landscaping projects losethe traditional local elements. We can guarantee that the blindly “copy and paste” waywill eventually fail as time goes by. Fortunately, we happily find that more and moreprojects put our traditional local culture on top of the design and try to keep as originalas possible on local features, although we do see the increasing popularity of WesternClassic Architecture Landscaping.This paper uses localization landscaping in south of Zhejiang Province and North ofFujian Province as research object. Based on the localization landscaping theory, practicaldesign methods, we try to explore the landscaping method for the “China Covered BridgeExposition” Project at Taishun, Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province. As a practice under theory,this paper summarizes a design discipline for that area and provides some theoreticalconcepts and practical methods.This paper contains two parts: the first part is theoretical research, we first identifythe different definitions on localization, localism, localization criticism using our researchbackground and concepts; then we study on the localization landscaping theory andrelated practice to gain some experience; finally, we do the research on design method,outline the key points and construct the design system. The second part is practicalanalysis: we first introduce the history of Taishun, Wenzhou, current landscaping and local customs, then provide our design principle, target, concept and finally propose ourconcrete strategy from both macro and micro perspective.
