Research On The Housing Policy And Planning Of Registered Young People In Beijing

Young people’s housing issues have become a hot topic in recent years. Andyoung people’s housing issues are complexity and comprehensiveness. Based on theempirical analysis over housing situation of registered young people in Beijing, theresearch purposes are to identify young people’s living conditions and housing demands,to sum up their housing problems and crucial factors that causing them. And then thethesis makes suggestions to the young people’s housing policy and planning.Research contents include the following subjects: research status of young peoplehousing issues at home and abroad, empirical research on young people’s housingsituation in Beijing, empirical study on space relationship between housing location andworking location of young people who work in Zhongguancun Area. According to theconclusions from the above analysis, young people housing policy and planning willalso be discussed.This research will adopt the methodology of Human Geography and Sociologyincluding: Epagoge, Consequence and Syllogism. Also, the qualitative and quantitativeresearch will be the basic. Moreover, the SPSS Statistic Series, GIS Series will be used.Additionally, there are several conclusions drawn from this study. Firstly, youngpeople’s housing issues have not aroused enough attention in both society and academiccommunity. Secondly, the phenomenon of housing generational transfer is verycommon in young people registered in Beijing, and marital status, residence status andeconomic capability of parents are the key factors affecting young people’s housingsituation. In addition, the main housing demands of young people are looking for basicliving space and living near the working location, meaning that housing shortage andliving and working separation are serious problems facing by the youth. Moreover, it isnecessary to set up a sound system and perfect young people’s housing plan and design.
